GBAPS Grant Application

MISSION STATEMENT

The Green Bay Area Public School District Education Foundation is committed to supporting every child to graduate college, career and community ready (whether that’s attending a 2 or 4 year college, entering the workforce or enlisting in the military) by securing funds and other resources to enhance and/or expand learning opportunities and ensure equitable access to District-wide programs and activities.

This granting program is not meant to replace ongoing public support of education, but funds opportunities, materials, and experiences that go beyond the School District budget.

The Education Foundation is held at the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and has a 501(c)(3) status.

An advisory board will guide the process and grants will be provided to support the areas of interest outlined below. Proposals are welcome in all categories of funding, with special focus on those that address emerging needs or literacy for the 2021 – 2022 school year. Within literacy, we are especially interested in proposals that are intended to impact PK-2 English or Spanish Literacy, with resources that are culturally and linguistically responsive.

-Literacy & Arts

-Athletics & Fitness

-Health & Wellness

-Technology & STEM initiatives

-Michelle Langenfeld Fund for Emerging Needs
