Fourth graders from Kennedy Elementary School enjoyed a trip to American Family Field on April 30, 2026, for the Milwaukee Brewers Weather Day, thanks to a grant from the GBAPS Education Foundation.
Kennedy Elementary teacher Kally Vyskocil received a $2,000 grant to fund the trip. Weather Day features appearances by the Milwaukee Brewers, while students also attend an interactive science fair.
“The purpose of this field trip is to provide students with a meaningful, hands-on learning experience that supports our curriculum goals and promotes teamwork, curiosity, and community engagement,” Vyskocil said. “Attending this event will enhance students’ understanding of how rainfall helps to shape the land and affects the types of living things found in a region.”
