Sullivan Elementary 5th grade teacher Kristen Hanson received a 2023 GBAPS Education Foundation grant to fund enrichment clubs.
The clubs took place at the end of the school day for Sullivan Elementary School 5th graders, and included science, soccer, art, outdoor games, cooking, and more.
The purpose of the clubs was to enhance students’ learning, provide friendship opportunities, create interest in new opportunities and promote a growth mindset.
Hansen said that the clubs resulted in higher student engagement and fewer behavioral issues and instances of incomplete work.
