Lombardi Autism Focus teacher Janelle Krebsbach received a 2023 GBAPS Education Foundation grant to refresh the sensory room at Lombardi Middle School.
Emily Pearson, who now works in Krebsbach’s position, applied for the funds and updated the sensory room with a swing, hammock, sensory wall, color-changing magma tiles, fidgets, and leg pedaling exercises.
Pearson said that the new features of the room are helping students relax after stressful situations.
