Apply for a Grant

This granting program is not meant to replace ongoing public support of education, but funds opportunities, materials, and experiences that go beyond the School District budget. The Education Foundation is held at the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and has a 501(c)(3) status. An advisory board guides the process and grants will be provided to support the following areas of interest: Literacy & Arts, Athletics & Fitness, Health & Wellness, Technology & STEM initiatives, Michelle Langenfeld Fund for Emerging Needs. 

OUR PASSIONS
Literacy & Arts

  •  Stimulate the love of reading across all cultures and economic levels by supporting programs such as the District’s Preschool Story times, Summer Libraries, and extended literacy opportunities.
  • Provide real life experiences through field trips to close “opportunity gaps” for students (more than 50% of District students are eligible for Free & Reduced Meals).

Athletics & Fitness

  • Supplies and athletic gear to encourage and inspire healthy lifestyle choices such as participating in running clubs in elementary schools
  • Uniforms and supports equipment to allow for inclusive and safe participation
  • Facility enhancements including weight rooms and stadium/field house improvements

Health & Wellness

  • Eyeglasses for economically disadvantaged students
  • Creating sensory pathways and other active options for indoor recess

Technology & STEM Initiatives
Supporting workforce readiness and exposure with STEM activities, clubs and resources

  • Providing educators with the latest technology (augmented reality, virtual reality, software programs, and computer hardware)

Michelle Langenfeld Fund for Emerging Needs

  • Supporting innovative practices in the District
  • Removing immediate barriers to student learning

OUR CRITERIA
Qualified Applicants: Applications will be accepted from any Green Bay Area Public School District teacher of staff member. All applicants must have the approval from principal/administrator/ direct supervisor. Any school-related activity consistent with district curricula and policies qualifies except existing activities funded by the School District. Only one application per individual will be accepted each grant cycle.

  • Grant Awards: Typical grants range in amounts up to $5,000 and are annual grants

Final Report: Successful applicants will be required to complete a brief follow-up report at the end of the project or grant period.

Application window now closed.
