About Us

Students celebrate and surround Jennifer Georgia in the Martin Library Media Center.

2023 grant recipient Jennifer Georgia celebrates with Martin       Elementary School students.

It’s often the most simple things that put the “aw” into awe-inspiring for a student: riding a bus on a field trip, walking into a theatre and being mesmerized by the motion and emotion of a play, a pair of tennis shoes to be able to join the track team.

The Education Foundation and the funding it provides allows Green Bay students the opportunity to have experiences they may never could – experiences that enrich their lives above and beyond traditional learning. We are committed to pulling every single lever we can to help kids in this community. Kids and families. Students and teachers. Because, ultimately, the more we as a community can help these kids now, the stronger our community will be in the future. Because they are our future.

Our Mission

We elevate the educational experience of GBAPS students by funding innovative projects and programs beyond the scope of the district’s budget.

Though our schools accomplish remarkable feats each day, we as a Foundation are asking you for your financial support to foster innovative projects and unique learning opportunities so that they are accessible to all:
     • Funding goes directly to our educators
     • Grants are reviewed and approved by the Education Foundation board
     • Successful applicants are required to provide measurable outcomes

What We Do

We are a nonprofit organization created in 2021 to provide financial resources that enrich the education opportunities for Green Bay Area Public School students. We are operated by a board of directors independent of the school district, but we collaborate closely with the district to identify their needs. The GBAPS Education Foundation is held at the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and has a 501(c)(3) status. Therefore, all donations to the GBAPS Education Foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

We are grateful for your gift that helps provide enrichment opportunities to extend classroom learning and empower students.
